I went to Indianapolis Museum of Art today. I had two hours of free time that I was going to use to take more pictures of Indianapolis but since today turn out to be gloomy and cloudy day, I decided to go to IMA to get information about the museum.
Its been a long time since i've been to IMA and I always had good time looking through many different galleries from American to Asian and the contemporary designs. Looking through the galleries is surprisingly, very relaxing. I had couple of hours to look around and I took the entire time to browse the Museum.
Learning about the progress of arts is so cool if you think about it.
My personal field trip at the IMA is also an inspiration to my goal.

Initial Camera Test
Today I went to downtown Indianapolis and spent about four hours taking pictures. It was fun, I had a great time testing different settings on the camera. All in all I took over 150 pictures, usually duplicates of the same view but with different camera settings. It was great because it wasn't cloudy but it was so cold. I had to take a few minutes break inside Q'doba to get a bite then continue taking pictures. I wanted to take pictures during the night time also, and I thought the pictures came out pretty good.

independent Study Spring 2010
During the Independent Study class on Fall 2009, i've gathered information about Indianapolis such as The cities history, cultural district, and where to go, and where to eat. I've also created a wireframe for the website I will be creating for the capstone project. This semester, my plan is to gather images and videos, and to interview people in the streets about the city. By the end of this semester I should have gather everything I need to create Indianapolis website for my capstone project.

April 20th Class
Beth, brought a Agnes today (Chicken - i'm not so sure if that's his name).
We sat around, trapping the chicken in the middle.
He was hilarious!
We also talked about the New Media scavenger hunt assignment, and gave us more idea about what to do with our final project.
Towards the end of the class, we watch Joe's Apartment.
I had seen the movie a lot of times so, 20 minutes before the class ended I decided to leave the class.

What is New Media?
When people refer to new media, people think of television, music, web design or anything that utilize a computer or computers.
New Media is used in our daily lives. We get the news from television or internet which is considered as new media, in fact new media has change our way of living. New Media has a enormous impact to our lives and without new media technologies will not evolve.
What is Innovation?
According to Merriam-Webster, innovation is
Main Entry: in•no•va•tion
Pronunciation: "i-n&-'vA-sh&n
Function: noun
1 : the introduction of something new
2 : a new idea, method or device
I found the kiosk just outside Castleton Mall is a good New Media sample. I think another new media sample that uses a computer that most people will not find new media is the fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas.

1. Who did it?
Collaboration between Mr. Wynn and the WET Design.
2. How did they do it?
Drawings were prepared that outlined the feature's form and
location. They defined its position in relation to the hotel, its
center point of focus, as well as its breadth and presence on
the lake. A series of alternate layouts of the fountain's shape
were presented to Mr. Wynn, all of them designed with the
feature's animation in mind. The plan of the feature was
driven by WET's objective of creating an instrument capable
of producing, when choreographed, as much fluidity,
variation and range of expression--from grand gesture to
subtle nuance--as possible. The soul of the fountain's form,
and the motive for the selection of technologies, was that of
flexibility and variety. This ensured that the feature would
effectively play to the varying musical styles and idioms in
an ever-growing library of musical selections.
WET designed and manufactured a collection of
technological devices specifically for the Bellagio. The
objective, as with the form of the fountain, was that of
versatility and breadth. By including the Shooter technology,
the fountain could integrate with the more rythmically driving
passages in the music. Both MiniShooters® and
SuperShooters® (driven to record setting heights of over 240
feet) were included to respond to both commanding and
delicate aspects in the music. The pulsing character of the
Shooters would create the feature's spirals, linear passages,
and high-speed chases.

Planning and integration of different types of media such as music, and synchronization of different medias.

The Project
I was not in the class on April 13th.
I don't really know what i'm supposed to do with the project. I guess, I am not understanding the assignment.
I know how attending the class is very important to progress of this course, I realize even missing a class is already too many class missed. You get lost and you get behind, then it stress you out to get caught up.
